This classroom project was brought to life by Livia & Biz Stone and one other donor.

These materials will help them engage with one another by bringing them together through art. It will increase their social interactions which has been decreased due to covid. Many of our students are home bound due to the pandemic and look forward to coming to class to interact with one another. We have found that art is a great way for them to bond with one another. The reading materials will help engagement during reading and writing lessons. These books will allow them to access the materials as children who are in person learning. This will allow for them to look for text evidence using a physical book and not rely on a digit upload that sometimes glitches and stops working. Many of our students have issues with their technology and it limits what they can access. The physical book will allow them to build skills with both reading comprehension and writing.
