  • Becoming Confident Readers!

    Funded Mar 31, 2023

Thank you all for your generous donations and support of our students. The students will be ecstatic to use these materials for reading in all classes. Because of contributions like yours, we can provide students with appropriate materials to support their learning.

We hope this will benefit all current and future Thunderbirds for years to come!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Nobusada

  • Reading Tools

    Funded May 30, 2022

Thank you for your contribution to our classrooms! The students at my school love using materials that they view as "toys" but are actually used to support their reading. For example, the students love using slinkies to stretch out words and blend words. The materials can also be used independently at stations, making planning for the teachers much quicker.

The students are actively engaged in reading and don't even know they're reading! We can't thank you enough for bringing joy to our young readers.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Nobusada

  • Expanding Our Brains

    Funded Feb 7, 2022

Thank you so much for your amazing donation! The students have grown in their reading skills so much thanks to the materials purchased through the project. They now love reading and don't feel like it's a chore. Their confidence in their reading abilities has grown exponentially!

The teachers are excited to continue to track their growth throughout the year. The materials have met a huge need for our students who need a different way of learning how to read.

Thank you again for supporting our learners!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Nobusada

  • Small Group Workspace

    Funded Jan 31, 2022

The students have loved using different materials for reading! The reading tasks no longer feel tedious but rather fun! They are excited to go to their next station because they know it will be hands-on and fun.

The teachers have also loved using the materials as it is easier to pull from our library of resources to engage our young readers. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by all the different types of learners, we now have a library of resources that meets the needs of all our learners.

Thank you for supporting our young readers!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Nobusada

  • ELA Resources

    Funded Mar 22, 2022

Thank you for your generous donation. The K-2 students have enjoyed using the materials purchased through this project. The students are actively engaged in their reading stations every day. Reading doesn't feel like a tedious task for these young readers.

The teachers have found these resources extremely helpful in organizing reading centers every day. There is less stress around what materials students will use each day.

We can't thank you all enough for the contributions you have made to our young readers!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Nobusada

  • Comfortable Small Group Meeting Space

    Funded Jan 13, 2022

The students love their new small group space! They are incredibly excited that they can write directly on the table! The engagement has significantly increased, and they can't wait for the spelling part of our instruction.

Before, the students spent at least 5 minutes struggling to pull chairs out from under the table, but now everyone can easily pull their chairs out. The students can also all comfortably fit at the table without feeling squished or asking for someone to move down a bit.

We can't thank you enough for contributing to our classroom in such a big way!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Nobusada

  • School Resources for Home

    Funded Aug 15, 2020

The students love their at-home resources! They were so excited when they received their materials. A few parents sent pictures of their child excitedly opening their Back to School bags.

We have been using all of our materials either during synchronous or asynchronous work times. It has greatly increased engagement during our synchronous learning time. The students can write down mentor sentences and keep track of their writing all in their ELA notebooks. The slinkies and playdoh have gotten so much use during our Phonics time. They love using their slinkies and playdoh to blend their words! It is so helpful for each student to have their own whiteboards because they can record their answers/responses on the whiteboards, and I can quickly check for their understanding.

Thank you so much for supporting my 1st graders. Your contribution has greatly helped their learning during this difficult time.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Nobusada

With us starting off the school year learning at home, I want to ensure that all my students have the materials/resources they need to successfully engage in distance learning. My goal is to organize and prepare materials for students to use at home so students can engage in hands-on activities even at a distance. I am providing each of my students with a whiteboard, dry erase markers, dice, playing cards, and writing materials. This back to school kit will ensure all students have access to the same supplies that I would typically use in the classroom. Parents will not have to worry about gathering materials for their child that may be necessary for lessons or at-home learning. This kit will also increase engagement online. The students can engage their family in their learning through playing math games.
