Keeping students healthy and engaged, whether they are learning at home or in the classroom, is incredibly important. Due to safety concerns, students will not be able to share materials in the classroom. Additionally, if we are not in the classroom for a period of time, each child needs to be able to take a set of learning materials home. By supporting this project, you are allowing my students to have the materials they need to be safe and successful at home or in the classroom. With their own learning tools tools students will more safely be able to explore sounds in words, build words, read, write, and work with numbers, no matter if they are in the classroom or at home. Each tool ( threads, beads, counters and bags) is a part of research based, hands on, engaging lessons I plan every day. These tools will reinforce important foundational skills and provide consistency while eliminating cross contamination concerns and providing all of my students with the same materials at school and home in the event of a transition to distance learning.
