Words cannot express how thankful I am for your donation. When I received word that my project had been fully-funded, I was ecstatic. My classroom library was going to be awesome. Then the word came that these wonderful books would not be enjoyed by my students and must sit in an empty classroom since we are schooling fully-virtual. That is why there are no students in my pictures...they are not there. Though that makes my heart sad, I know that these wonderful books will be there waiting for my diverse readers when they finally are allowed to school in-person.

In order to help cultivate life long readers, it is imperative that literature is integrated into all academic content levels, including math. A differentiated library that reflects math in literature is a unique way to present that fact. I want my students to see that math isn't just something you learn in school, but something that is deeply woven into every aspect of our lives. My dream is that math and literature will come alive in a vibrant library that can be used for student choice reading and class content instruction.
