Math Tools are FUN to Use!
Funded Sep 29, 2022I cannot believe I have gotten another project fully funded. It is thanks to my family, friends, and the kindness of organizations that support NYC public schools. I am so excited for my students because the Math tools and other materials are going to impact their learning. I can't wait for them to get the new materials in their hands and for them to have Math tools to keep at home! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! God bless you all!”

Funded Oct 3, 2021Wow! Another project has been fully funded! My students are so excited to get new supplies in their hands. We use the magnetic boards every day for Phonics. We work on building words, studying word families, and practicing sight words. We also use the magnetic boards for solving Math problems. Since we got the new boards, I plan on sending the old boards home with the students. The dry erase markers go with the magnetic boards, 2 are for school and 2 were sent home.
The rings and card stock comes in handy when making copies of Reading, Writing, Phonics, and Math tools. I make copies of important charts and supports for each student that they can use throughout the year. The card stock and rings make the tools last. Some charts are placed in the page protectors. Students can write on the charts, checklists, and Math games and use them over and over. My students love to play the Math games at home. I sent the games home in page protectors so that students can play the game using dry erase markers on the game board. They love playing with their family at home!
The Sight Word books are great for learning sight words. I used them last year for classwork and homework. It helped the students remember sight words and parents were able to help their child. It's important for me to form a partnership with parents. Your donations are greatly appreciated! Thank you and God bless you!”

Funded Oct 29, 2020The students were so EXCITED to receive the school supplies that were delivered to our classroom. The noise level shot up when the supplies were being given out. The smiles were rewarding.
The tissues and sanitizer were given to students to carry in their back packs so that they would have it waiting on line to come into school, before and after they eat, or if they sneeze. The glue sticks are used in school for art projects. The students also brought a set home. We use dry erase markers in school and students use them when they learn remotely. We will have them for the year now because we received so many. Dry erase markers dry out fast and are used the most in school next to pencils. The card stock paper is hard to come by in our school. The colors are very drab. I make mini charts for students to keep at home using he bright colors of card stock. Charts last longer when they're copies on card stock.
Our next project is going to be for new books. Our school has students coming in to borrow books. We're rotating the books that have been used. I'm going to work on getting brand new leveled books in my student's hands so they can keep them. They would be able to read them at home whenever they wanted.”

Funded Aug 13, 2020I can't tell you how much your donation is going to impact my students this year! The Sight Word Journals for the students are amazing! Since the students missed so much in person instruction, they have some catching up to do. With the journals, they will be able to move forward with their sight word knowledge and continue their love of reading! Many of my colleagues love the journals too!
The file folders are also a great addition to the classroom. Since students need to social distance in school, the games are a fun way to learn! The games will be rotated so all the students get a chance to try the new games.
Kleenex is a part of our school community! It is so important that big companies give back and help where they can. You've done that! Keep up the great work!”
