The Teachers Pay Teachers gifts cards will help my students learn at home as we start the school year with distance learning. My focus will be to provide social and emotional lessons since that is a major component in this grade. Since I am unable to find those teachable moments in class, I want to provide meaningful lessons through distance learning. My hope is for my students to have activities, games, and resources to supplement with my distance learning instruction. Distance learning will require daily discussions about emotions and self awareness during this difficult time. I want my students to feel welcomed, safe, and appreciated when they are taught by me and around their new peers. It is important to make kids feel heard and acknowledged and right now this is an even more important time to make sure I am providing that for my students.
