Having a document camera will open up so many learning opportunities that will otherwise be made difficult with the necessity of physical distancing! In class, my blossoming readers need to be able to see the text of books up close as I teach them how to decode and unravel words and phrases. In distance learning, teaching from recordings made on my personal laptop webcam are not effective for the very important task of teaching my young learners the foundations for reading. Having a document camera will make the weighty task of reading instruction and intervention much more streamlined than the endless fiddling of laptop and phone recordings!
