Warm Hearts Bringing Warmth to Peers
Funded Jan 20, 2025Thank you so much for the gloves :-). To say that the students appreciated them would be an understatement. When they saw the gloves, they knew that someone thought of their well-being. They ask if they could take them home that day. They ask if they could share with their friends . A few asked if they could take a pair of gloves and a hat home to their family because their family was also cold. You have touched so many lives without knowing the impact you have. These items came at a perfect time with the weather coming in like a maniac. Thank you so much!”

Peace in the Midst of Hostility
Funded Jan 20, 2025Oh the joy that came when these headphones came out of the box. Eyes lit up, smiles became evident from across the room. Sometimes it is so difficult for students to concentrate. When individuals have varying abilities, sometimes the excess noise makes it difficult to remain calm, more or less remain in an academic environment. These headphones have already made a difference, and I cannot express my gratitude in words. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. My students and I are both very appreciative for your willingness to purchase these for their peace of mind as well as their enjoyment of classroom activities and school activities. Again, we appreciate you and if we could give hugs from across the Internet, we would. Sending air hugs from us to you.”

Bringing Smiles to the Elderly
Funded Dec 31, 2024You are such a blessing to my students and the residents of the nursing homes. The sixth students truly enjoyed making the cards for the residents. At first, the students did not understand why it was necessary to help complete strangers. When we explained that some of these residents have not had visitors or a card for several months, they began to empathize. We had an opportunity to teach them about compassion and caring for others, just because it's the right thing to do. Once they began to write the cards, they were very appreciative that they were given the opportunity to share a smile with someone who may not have one. You have made this opportunity possible. Thank you so much.”

Sharing Love With Snacks
Funded Dec 3, 2024Thank you so much for your generosity. I don't know if you can grasp the impact that your gift has made. Each snack has a positive message to encourage the heart and feed the body. Each child that receives a snack with the message feels your indirect support and love. My students are the messengers of your love. My students are carrying out acts of love each time they pass out a snack. I really admire the fact that you care about people just because they are people. You are creating better humans one snack at a time. You are also teaching my students to encourage others.”

Funded Oct 29, 2024Thank you so much for helping the students have the resources to create food bags to help their friends during Thanksgiving. They truly enjoyed making the bags and realizing that they are making a difference in someone's life.
You are making a difference in the lives of so many. As you give, you begin the ripple effect. You show the students you care. The students are able to share your love and feel like they are making a difference. Then those who receive the bags are fed and cared about. Their basic needs are met and they have a better view of life. They find hope.”

Hydrated and Eco-Friendly
Funded Oct 1, 2024Thank you so much for the wonderful water bottles. When we went outside for our all day activity, the kids were so excited. They had cold water all day long! They also like that all of their cups matched. Especially like the fact that they would not break When they dropped them from their desk. A few of them really enjoyed the fact that there is also a straw so is less likely that it will spill all over them when they drink the water. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. next steps, we are currently working on a schoolwide grant to try to save the environment even more. We are trying to obtain reusable water bottles for more of their friends so that students will use water bottles instead of disposable water bottles and ruin the environment.”

Safe, Cool, and Happy
Funded Sep 4, 2024my students have already used the canopies. We had an all day activity outside. It was about 90°. Some of my students are not allowed to be in the sun more than an hour. Others are very pale skinned, and others just are not supposed to be in the sun for long periods of time. The canopies allowed the students to enjoy events. They allow the students to be able to stay out in the sun during the activity. It was a huge benefit. The majority of the students stayed outside all day. The other students were able to come and go as their medical conditions. when the student stepped outside and saw the canopies set up, they were very excited. It was very nice to watch their faces light up. It was also nice to reassure their parents that we would be able to protect them from the heat and son. Thank you so much”

Funded Sep 4, 2024Thank you so much for your donation of headphones. It will allow my students to interact with their peers while in the general education classroom, as well as in the special education classroom. In the general education class, they will be able to listen to the textbooks online. They will be able to filter out the noises that cause them to be distracted. In the special classroom, they will have the same opportunities, but there will also be more opportunities. I appreciate you sharing your resources to allow my students to be included in various settings!”

Funded Aug 14, 2024Thank you so much for your donation of numerous snacks. The students were so excited to see the variety of snacks that you purchased. They were also very excited to know that they would not have to go home hungry. Kids enjoy snacks, but they also need snacks. When they go to lunch, they're able to get a meal, that does not always fill up teenagers. When they feel hungry, it takes away from their focus. The snacks allow them to complete the day and go home knowing that, they have had a good snack before they went home. Your kindness and generosity has helped them so much.”

Funded Aug 14, 2024Thank you for so much for making this project a reality. The students are excited to go to the nursing home, get to know the people, and then the bringing them joy a few months later when the elderly believe that no one is thinking about them. The books were very informative to the students about why individuals go to nursing homes and about dementia. Their level of compassion has already been sparked. Reading the books opened their eyes to the fact that some grandparents don't live with family. As we write the cards, I believe their level of compassion will increase.”
