Setting My Students Up for Success in Science!
Funded Jul 12, 2022Thank you so much for your very generous donations to our classroom! These are the basics that are so vital in supporting a strong learning environment. I love being able to have a classroom stocked with pencils, markers, tissues, paper towels, lined paper, and extra folders for whatever a student might need that day. This would not be possible without your help!
We needed more calculators to have a complete classroom set, it was one of our most needed items on the list. We use calculators almost daily in class and you made it possible for every student to have access to a calculator of their own while in the chemistry room.
Today, we had a review game day to prepare for our upcoming test. Working together in teams we were using so many of the materials you provided us- pencils, lined paper, dry erase markers, dry erasers and calculators. Every student has different ways they like to work and you helped me provide all of the materials to let students choose how they want to solve the problem at hand. We are so lucky to have your support!”

Chemistry Modeling & Practice
Funded Feb 8, 2022Thank you so much for your generous contribution to our chemistry classroom! We have been getting lots of use out of all the materials you were able to help us fund. My students have especially loved our new subatomic particle model kits, they make learning subatomic particles so much more fun!
In our classroom we love to be hands on as much as we can, but sometimes materials can get really expensive. Through your donation we were able to get supplies to not only have hands on materials for learning about subatomic particles, but also for learning about atomic structure and bonds! We now have a very stocked chemistry model desk in our learning space where students can use the models during lessons to help support kinesthetic learning. Now that we have these kits I can't imagine a more accessible way to teach subatomic particles, bonding, and atomic structure. Not only do they help support learners who may need visualization, but it helps scaffold further interest and learning as students can build new molecules we haven't yet discussed in class since the kits are extremely intuitive.
In addition to the model kits your donations also helped support the purchase of materials we use across all topics, including our new individual white boards, erasers, and dry erase markers. The white board materials are some of my student's most used resources in class, I can't thank you enough for helping us get a full class set.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Hyde
