  • Flexible Seating

    Thank you so much for being so generous to my students. All of my 6th graders love to come to my classroom because it's the "cool" room. In reality, it's the room that provides them the most comfort and support for them to learn.

    I have some students that are ADHD and absolutely cannot sit still. The stools have worked out great for those students. They can wriggle seat without being distracting. I also have students that prefer to sit on the floor in a more relaxed position. The big square floor cushions provides them comfort and keeps them off the cold floor.

    One of the class favorites is the Amazon Echo Dot. They absolutely love being able to listen to music as a reward. We also use it time to time to ask quick questions we want to know the answers to. It also serves as a great timer!”

  • Social Distancing Supplies

    I want to thank each and every donor that donated to our classroom! My students have really enjoyed having their own supplies in my classroom. The students come in every day not having to worry about borrowing materials, or be anxious about asking me for materials they may not have or have forgotten at home. Like planned, each student has his/her own pencil bag with 2 mechanical pencils, a highlighter, a 12 pack of coloring pencils, and one pen. This bag includes everything they need to be successful in my 6th grade social studies class. So, thank you again for your contribution to my students!”

My students will be able to have their own individual pencil bag with their personal supplies. These bags will stay in my classroom and will be wiped and disinfected after each day. My room is set up with 7 tables, so my students must sit at a table together. I would love to see each table have its own personal hand sanitizer for students to use. Also, I would like to have a trash can at each table to limit movement in the classroom, which will help to enforce good social distancing.
