  • Writing Center for Our Littlest Learners

    Thank you so much for your generous donation! Our littlest learners love to go to the writing center! They draw, paste and practice writing letters! They love to trace sand paper letters for tactile learning! They were so excited when our writing center arrived! They loved seeing the new learning toys and loved practicing how to use them! We take turns using the writing center. We learned how to take care of care new materials! Next, we are going to learn how to write our names! We appreciate your interest and dedication to early childhood learning!”

  • A Comfy, Cozy Corner for the Littlest Learners!

    Thank you, thank you, thank you! Our littlest learners are on their way to begin a lifetime love of reading!! Our cozy corner is cozy, and very well used. We love to read there! Whether we read a book by ourselves, ask a teacher to read to us, or share a book with a friend...WE ARE READING! We are recognizing letters, we talk about what is happening in the pictures and what we think will happen in the story. Everything early literacy builds on for fluency as we learn and grow!

    We were SO excited when we came to school and saw our new cozy corner!! Everyone took a turn reading a book on the bean bags/ floor seats. This is our new favorite center!!

A cozy corner is also the place where our class library is! Children can sit by themselves and read a book, or can ask a teacher to read to them. A cozy corner encourages early literacy skills for our students! Children learn to look at pictures in books, left to right directionality and how to turn the pages.
