  • Basic Classroom Supplies

    Funded Aug 4, 2023

Thank you for your donations! These items will help me provide the tools and materials my students will need throughout the school year. Many of my students come from low income families and are not able buy the essentials for their student. Most of the time I would have to buy these items out of pocket”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Silva

  • Lets make Math & Science engaging!

    Funded Mar 13, 2022

Thank You for all the wonderful science models and lab materials my class received. My students get to do more hands on activities for science. The students are able now to visually compare the difference from a plant cell and an animal cell.

We also enjoyed having the jugs with different units of measurement. The students were able to distinguish the different units of measurement by looking at the different size jugs. They can easily see that 1 gallon is more than 1 pint. Great tools to reference back to.

Thank you for thinking about our future generation.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Silva

  • Help Me Transform My Classroom to Keep My Students' Engaged!

    Funded Jan 13, 2022

I want to take the time to say Thank You! For helping me provide classroom materials for our future generation. Your donations have helped them become successful in 5th grade. We were low on fraction tiles, different colored highlighters, sheet protectors , dry erase markers and erasers. Many of my students couldn't afford these materials now I can provide it for them. Thank you for your support .

My students were able to have a better understanding of adding and subtracting fractions by using fraction tiles. Now that I have enough fraction tiles the students are able to borrow a set to take home. Thank you for allowing me to provide the materials they needed.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Silva

My school is a title one school and many of the students struggle with buying the school supplies they need. Many of them come to school with out a binder, paper, pencil, markers, and so on. I have managed to keep my classroom supplies a float. It's been difficult, but I have managed. My students' have asked if they can take the manipulatives home to do their homework. As much as I want to say yes, I can't. I have to use them for the next Math class. I Teach Math 5th grade and I teach 70 students daily. I have to make sure I have enough manipulatives for each student. We do a lot of hands on with math and would like to provide these items for students to check out and use at home as needed. I also want to make my classroom more alive and vivid to help engage my students. I have a data wall, word wall, and focus wall that needs more color and life. having the Cricut will help me create anchor charts and math groups become more visual for the students to see and use. The Word wall is made for students' to reference back to math strategies we have learned. It also has Math vocabulary words listed. The data wall is a visual of each students growth by number and color. I would like to create vinyl colored coded numbers to re-use each year. A certain color and number is assigned to each student and they can see their growth from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. Each student has their personal goal and this is a reminder and it encourages them to try harder on their benchmark test. Many of my students look forward to this.
