  • Creative Cooking

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

It has been so much fun watching the students enjoy the dramatic play area with new creative food. To be able to actually make pizzas instead of using plastic pieces. To be able to take orders and include a drink with ice cubes is great.

I often heard the students having birthday parties for each other in the past, now it comes complete with a cake. I believe everyone has now had their own personal birthday. We are currently have the sub shop with the additional food on the side.

Thank you again for your generous donation to help turn our boring dramatic play into a creative kitchen for my students.”

  • Boy Oh Boy!

    Funded Nov 30, 2022

With my classroom having a majority of boys, I needed to expand further than dramatic play where most students usually gravitate to. Adding the cars and car rug and additional magnetic tiles has helped tremendously.

With the additional magnetic tiles they build longer, their towers and buildings are bigger, and they play together better.

The cars and car rug has them talking about where they are going. It is fun adding the new cars a couple at a time and their excitement when they notice them.

Thank you again for your generosity and for donating to "Boy Oh Boy". You have made a classroom full of boys a lot more fun.”

  • I Like Writing

    Funded Nov 29, 2022

Thank you for donating to " I LIKE WRITING". I knew I was excited to get the LCD writing boards for the students but I didn't know how much they were going to love them.

As a teacher I have seen a decrease in fine motor and writing since the pandemic and the use of tablets has increased. Getting the students to want to write is sometimes a struggle.

Every day the tablets are being used. I have seen the students use them to take orders to make food in dramatic play, or draw pictures and write their names. They also work great for small group activities. And the best part is we are saving paper. Thank you again.”

  • Can’t Stop Cutting and Glueing

    Funded Oct 26, 2022

Thank you for donating to "CANT STOP CUTTING AND GLUING ". My students love creating projects for their friends and family and we seem to always need more and more paper and glue sticks. It a relief to know we have extra on hand. The watercolors are a big hit as well. They have made so many beautiful pictures with amazing colors.

They also enjoy the magnetic letters that came in the order. Many students spend time spelling their name or putting the letters in alphabetical order. With the multiple sets we are able to use letters in small groups and in different areas of the classroom. Thank you again.”

  • Look What I Did!

    Funded Sep 7, 2022

Thank you for your donations to "Look What I Did!"

All the families talk about the nice folders we gave the students to take home their projects and important papers. The clear front allowed us to include important information that is easy for the parents to locate if they needed any of the important phone numbers.

The liquid watercolors allows the children to paint beautiful paintings. It also allows teachers to make colorful noodles for necklaces, rice for sensory tables, and play dough for some squishing and playing.

    Thank you again.”

  • Math in the Morning

    Funded Aug 9, 2022

Thank you for your donations to "Math in the Morning". My students get to come in and have fun with fine motor and math work. With the amazing items you helped use get they are able to mix the two together.

We sort by colors, make patterns, compare more and less, and just have fun making creations.

We received the box before school started so the items were already new to everyone but they did not hesitate to get them out and start playing with all the items.

We also had fun hiding the bears and going on a bear hunt for the letter B. This is how we introduced graphing. Can't wait to continue using these amazing items to continue learning.”

  • Fine Motor Frenzy!!!

    Funded Mar 29, 2022

Thank you for your donations to "Fine motor Frenzy "

The excitement of new materials at the end of the school year is hard to describe. It was pure joy to watch them create with the new material. Sunglasses and people were the first to be the created.

The new clothes for the babies gave the dramatic play area a boost after not being able to have cloth items during the pandemic. The students were so excited to come in and see the babies in their new clothes.

Thanks again for helping my students have fun ways to work with their fingers while having fun.”

  • Let’s Make It Stick, with Magnets!

    Funded Dec 11, 2021

Thank you so much for the standing magnetic board and materials. This year we have had new units which included tubes and tunnels as well as simple machines.

When asked to guess what was in the box simple machines was some of the responses.

The students enjoyed working together to see how everything worked. They experimented with different items going through the tubes. They problem solved with the gears on why some were spinning and some were not. And we have had fun building and identifying letters. As a teacher I really enjoyed the way they worked together and shared. Thanks again.”

    Ms. Tiffany

  • Let the Folder Fun Begin!

    Funded Nov 15, 2021

Thank you so much for the file folder activities for my classroom. While I tried to open them without them seeing so I could get them organized it didn't work well. They were right there waiting to play with them.

They were very patient waiting for one that was appropriate for what they needed to work on. Some worked on letter matching and identification while others worked on sorting and patterns. I can't wait to share these with parents with a check out system.

While a couple items were not available the students were excited about the new people for the dollhouse as well.

    Thank you again,”

  • Rolling into Learning!

    Funded Nov 17, 2020

Thank you so much for funding our "Rolling into learning" project. When we initially requested the carts and materials we were not sure if we were going to be an in person classroom or virtual. We knew that we would be able to use the carts and materials in both situations. We would need to keep students materials separate and the carts allowed a space to do that without taking up learning space.

Our classroom is currently virtual. The cart still allows space for us teachers to sort out materials for each student and keep their individual papers and plans together between the visits when we drop off fun learning items.

With the continued unknown about the future we will continue to use the carts to keep our classroom and student items sorted and organized.

Thanks again for helping us keep our students safe while they learn.”

I plan to take tri-fold presentation boards and add the alphabet, numbers, colors, and shapes for each student. I would like for them to be able to touch the alphabet as they sing the song, find the current letter, number, shape, and color as we talk about it on zoom meetings. To have their own learning boards at home will help with the connection of seeing one on videos or zoom meetings. Preschool students are hands-on, interactive learners. They need to do more than sit and listen. If they can interact they stay focused longer.
