Winter Fun With Friends
Funded Dec 21, 2023Thank you so much for your donation to "Winter fun with Friends". As my original plan did not go as planned, due to the timing of our delivery and winter break followed by quite a few snow days I had to shared in other ways.
For letter C week I sent home cookies, cocoa and crafts for the students to do an activity at home with their parents. For the church I gave them crafts for their children that often come to meetings with their parents. I also used the crafts for our parent meetings that happen in the evening so the students had something fun to do while their parents were in meetings.
Also with the amount of cookies and cocoa that was left I was able to send a "If you give a teacher a cookie " appreciation treat to teachers in 5 of our buildings as a treat. Thank you again for your donation. Although it didn't go as the original plan it was AMAZING.”

Funded Nov 28, 2023Thank you for your donation to "Cool Beans". The bean bag has been a huge hit in the classroom.
As I was told my calm down corner was lacking, the suggestion of a bean bag was given.
Although I am excited that my calm down corner is seldom used a a calm down area, it is a very popular area of the classroom. The bean bag is very welcomed.
Although it starts off a little firm the students know it will soften with time and they continue to sit on it while playing with friends, reading books, playing with babies or just relaxing and watching.
That you again for the addition to my classroom. I often sit on it as well during nap time as I plan for what's next. It is definitely a well used addition.”

Funded Oct 31, 2023Thank you so much for your donation to "Preschool Keepsakes". The pizza boxes were share between 3 classrooms. We were able to allow the students to decorate their boxes before conferences and fill them with some of their work, some pictures of them playing and learning, and some of the amazing pieces of artwork they had created.
At conferences when we handed the parents their box to keep their child's work in they were so excited. Many said they just threw it in a tote or box and liked the thought of having somewhere special that wasn't too big.
Thank you again for helping me create these "Preschool Keepsake" boxes with my students.”

Sparkling Sensory Wall
Funded Sep 1, 2023Thank you for you donation for our "Sparkling Sensory Wall". All the colors have been exciting to see. We have five classrooms that are using the beautiful sequins as a calming area for the students and staff. We have found times when we as adults got to the boards and rub on them to calm ourselves.
The students were so excited to see it that they couldn't wait for the boards to get mounted to the wall. Before they got mounted we made sure that they were accessible to them whenever they wanted/needed them.
I have really enjoyed this addition to the classrooms and I am grateful and thankful for your donation.”

Funded Aug 9, 2023Thank you so much for your donation for the "Oh the Places you will go" books.
A few years ago I had my first couple students bring their book for me to sign. I saw that this was a thing a lot of parents have their child do every year until they graduate. I thought this would be a great gift for my students as they start their educational journey as the head on to kindergarten.
I really enjoy writing special messages and memories to my students. It also lets the parents take a small glimpse at the special relationships that are built in the classroom.
Thank you for helping me put a smile on my students faces and an amazing book in their hands as they head off into the future.”

Funded Aug 2, 2023Thank you for your donation to Missing Pieces ". The alphabet learning tubs are still one of my favorite teaching materials. They are fun to use for beginning sound sort, what's missing game, and just expanding their vocabulary by talking about the items inside each tub.
When I first received the box I brought it home to assemble. My own grandson enjoyed helping sort the items and talking about his letter tubs in his classroom. When I took them into the classroom the students were asking about them and was very excited when we started our letters and began using the items.
Thank you again for making sure we had these amazing items for learning.”

Funded May 4, 2023Thank you for your generous donation to "Continuing the Fun." I am so excited to be able to send home some exciting items for the students to continue to have fun at home over the summer. As they continued to have fun playing with the cars and tracks in the classroom I know they will have fun using these items at home.
As I told the parents about how easy it was to put a command hook to start it and they could also get additional pieces of track from the Dollar Store they were as excited as the students to see them play with them at home.
Being able to send the students home with a bag of fun stuff is a great way to end the school year and start the summer. Thank you so much for helping to make this happen. Thank you again!”

Funded Apr 7, 2023Thank you for your donation to "Keep on Writing". My students have loved writing on the LCD boards in the classroom. I love seeing students actually writing with a writing instruments versus always being on electronics. These amazing little boards may look like a tablet (I have had reachers stop in and think the students had IPads), but they are awesome boards with a small plastic pencil like utensil for writing and drawing. My Students were always using them.
Thank you for helping me send them home a board so they can continue having fun and writing. This way they will continue to write and parents don't have to worry about paper or the occasional writing on the walls. The students were so excited to have their own. Thank you again!”

Funded Feb 27, 2023Thank you for your generous donation to "Get Well Soon". It was so nice to be able to hand parents these disposable thermometers. Often our parents can only tell us their child feels warm or hot and is unable to tell us a temperature.
When we send a child home for being sick they are not able to return until they are fever free for 24 hours. Being able to send a few thermometers home with the parents helped ease the inconvenience of not having one at home.
I shared these with our administration and health team and they are looking into making sure all of our sites will have some on hand to share with families in need.
With the past few years being more stressful than other with all the strands of COVID, it's nice to be able to help keep everyone safe and healthy. Thank you again for helping me keep my classroom and site safe.”

Funded Feb 8, 2023My students were so excited to see new magnet tiles. They wanted to know why they had a hole in them. As we worked together to a add the tubes to the holes in the tiles they couldn't wait to finish. After the first ball went down they were so excited and started adding more pieces and trying to make it bigger and better.
As a teacher I really enjoy toys that make the students think and problem solve. A lot of trial and errors happen with making these tracks, but they are so excited to roll the ball when they are done. I can't wait until we do tubes and tunnels for the students to really use these amazing toys. Thank you again for your generous donation.”
