  • Learning in New Creative Ways!

    Thanks to all of you, I was able to surprise my students! They were very excited to use the new area in our classroom. We use the seats and the rug area for almost every subject throughout the day. Their favorite time to use the chairs is during art and language arts. We also use them during partner work. Students are able to each gather a chair and complete partner work anywhere in the classroom. My students and I are very grateful for this wonderful new addition to our classroom! I am excited to use them for years to come.”

At our Title I school, variety is not always an option. I want to be able to provide my students with the option to learn in ways that are better suited for their needs. Students today have a hard time staying focused when in the same seat and environment all day long. With these surfer seats and rug, I will be able to provide them with a change of seating and scenery to help keep their busy minds focused. I want to offer a new and comfortable area in the classroom that allows my students to learn in a way that gives them a new learning experience and will help build our classroom community. My goal when using these flexible learning seats and environment will be a calmer classroom with less distraction to help improve our learning outcomes, especially in writing to help give the students a more focused area that will give a better support for their growing minds.

About my class
