  • iTeach Music

    Funded Apr 2, 2024

Thank you for the opportunity to have access to a new device! So far, I have used this device to create mixes for our show choir, and plan on taking it to our big professional development conference weekend conference! This device is allowing me to create better experiences for my students, and to be able to continue educational opportunities!

By utilizing the iMovie feature, we have been able to cut parts of songs, and join them with other parts to create a seamless and flowing show. This process is absolutely free on the MacBooks preinstalled software, which makes life easy.

I am awaiting our big professional development conference where I can use the computer to take notes, and to download presentations that are being reviewed - along with many other tasks. This will be a game changer for my teaching and my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. King

  • Snacks for All

    Funded Jun 19, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous gifts. With your help funding this project, we can help make sure that all students have a better chance at succeeding in the classroom. There are too many things that can take away from a child's ability to learn, and with your help, hunger will not be one of those things.”

  • We STAND for Music!

    Funded Oct 28, 2021

The new music stands have helped give students access to their own personal space when playing their instruments. Having new equipment gives the program a much needed face lift, but it also helps the students to experience a sense of pride in their materials, and in their program!

After teaching the students to properly care for the stands, it was quite funny seeing them race to class to make sure they got one of the new stands. Also, an investment like this shows our students that we care about them and their high school experience.

    Thank You!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. King

  • Snacks for All!

    Funded Dec 13, 2022

Thank you so much for your help in funding this project. I really am grateful for all of your support. Our students will now have access to nutrition that they may not get at home. For a lot of students, school is the only time they get wholesome meals, and this will set them up for success.”

  • High School Band Moving to Virtual Performances...Please Help!

    Funded Dec 31, 2020

Thank you so much for your help and support. We were able to use our audio equipment, and the school continues to use this equipment. We utilized the audio equipment to not only boost the sound for the cameras to pick up, but to help with marching band as well. This equipment is very effective for band and choir performances and we are happy to share our equipment within our department as needed. The kids really enjoyed having this, seeing that they did not have to over-play their instruments to be heard. Ultimately we were able to have a better sound and more accessible concerts.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. King

  • iTeach Music

    Funded Dec 27, 2021

Thank you all so much for your support. This new tool will help me give my students a “21st century” education. This will help us immediately when we return after New Years as we prepare for large group performance evaluation and as we live stream all of our fine arts productions.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. King

  • Safe Band Camp 2020

    Funded Nov 7, 2020

Your generosity has made our marching season not only possible, but successful! We were able to keep everyone safe by providing individual music folders, instrument sanitizer, and other essential items.

Our students (and their parents) were thrilled that we had everything we needed to keep these students safe. From the depths of our hearts, Thank You!

Despite the many challenges of operating a marching band during the COVID-19 era, we had NO sickness and We did not have a spreading event within our organization. Thank you for providing safety and peace of mind to my students, parents, and myself.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. King

  • Reeds for High School Music Students

    Funded Jul 4, 2020

Thank you for all of your support! We could not make this year work without you all. My students were getting to the point where they had no extra reeds and were getting worried. Times are hard for everyone right now and they understand that their families may not be able to afford a $5 or an $8 reed for their instrument. With your help, we are able to alleviate that stress and worry and provide all students in need with a reed. THANK YOU!

When the students first seen the new reeds they were truly ecstatic! There is nothing like playing on a new reed after using the same old reed for weeks!

My students are now preparing for our first "virtual" concert and District Honor Band - and event where our students can show off their talent by competing with students from across the state.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. King

During the school shutdown it has been extremely important for my students to keep practicing their instruments at home. With less and less funding available to music and band programs, we have lost the ability to provide reeds to our students. The reed is the wooden/cane sheet that causes the vibrations that causes our instruments to make sound. These are used for only woodwind instruments such as clarinet and saxophone. Without the reed, students that play woodwind instruments cannot practice their instrument. With the purchase of this simple supply, students will be able to practice for the upcoming marching season and school year. I believe that all student with a desire to learn should have access to all required materials - no matter their cost. In today's society more and more African-American students are considered disadvantaged. Please help us get our students into college with all of the potential scholarships in music and the fine arts. Our students need you!
