  • Fun-Loving Fifth Grade Readers!

    Funded Aug 14, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donations! This would have never happened without your help and dedication to the education of students, specifically in reading! You have my full gratitude and I can’t wait to use these resources to dive in and make reading exciting! Thank you again!”

  • Super Second Grade Scholars!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

My students were ecstatic when they saw the materials. They wanted to use the math manipulatives immediately! These have helped my scholars think critically when solving problems, specifically with place value and multiplication. I use these materials in small group instruction where we really dive into the curriculum and break down the different parts of the problem. These are especially helpful with word problems! One thing that also had a positive impact on the classroom are the sight word games. We also use these during small group instruction for my lower readers. They are able to look at the word and identify the syllables and where they belong in the sentences presented.

We also have a very big focus on annotating a text this year. The highlighters that were provided really helped the students focus and identify information that was important. We learned how to use a highlighter and how to identify what information is needed. My class and i are extremely grateful to everyone who has donated. You have no idea how much of an impact one donation can have on a classroom. My class has had everything they needed to succeed this year and they have been so successful! Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. McDevitt

Many of my students come from lower income families and cannot afford their own school supplies. Their parents have been affected financially by the Coronavirus. I picked these specific materials for this project so that my students will have the basic necessities for their education. Some of the materials, such as the stress toys, will help my students emotionally throughout the school year. I know many of the students have experienced tough times and I want the classroom to be a safe haven. I want my students and their families to know that I care for their well being and that I am willing to help in any way that I can. These supplies will ensure that my students are receiving the best education possible and that they have the materials needed for success.
