With young learners, it has been proven the more time they have interacting with good rich literature the more likely they are to become better readers. Providing good books and story character puppets young readers have multiple opportunities to interact with the story and with their parents. Children will be able to reason out ways the characters could have solved different problems in the story which provides them the opportunity to learn how to problem-solve for themselves in real-life situations. This project will allow parents to read to and interact with their children at home using fun activities and materials. This will strengthen the parent/child bond as well as the parent/teacher/school bond.
