Most of the books I have chosen are books meant to be extensions of my student’s learning throughout our Science and Social Studies units all year long. Some examples of the units we will be studying are types of energy, how humans impact the environment (and vice versa), as well as the study of sound and light. This list is a growing one as we dive into our units more closely. Incorporating literature into our Science and Social Studies curriculums brings learning full circle for students, and extends their learning beyond videos and brief articles. Thank you for helping my students as we explore, examine, and experiment with the work around us!
