Comfort & Focus: Fueling Student Success with Coffee & Cushions!
Funded Sep 17, 2024The stool cushions, and coffee donations have transformed our classroom environment into a more inviting and comfortable space for learning. My students use the stools during group activities, which fosters collaboration, while the cushions in our calming corner provide a space for emotional regulation. One memorable moment was when we gathered in small groups for a brainstorming session, and students naturally gravitated toward the stools, excitedly sharing ideas in a relaxed setting. The calming corner, with its cozy cushions, has become a favorite spot for students to take a quick break and return to learning refreshed and focused.
When my students first saw the materials, their faces lit up with excitement and appreciation. Many commented on how comfortable and welcoming the space now felt. As for next steps, we are working on a creative writing project where students will use the stools for collaborative brainstorming and peer editing sessions. With these resources, they are more engaged and motivated, allowing for greater creativity and productivity. These donations have truly enhanced our learning experience, and we look forward to seeing the positive outcomes in our work!”

This classroom project was brought to life by .First Year Chemistry Teacher
Funded Aug 26, 2020Thank you so much for making this project possible for my chemistry classroom. We received our project materials towards the beginning of September. Just in time to head back to physical school, (only for teachers though). I wasn't able to use my materials at their maximum potential until some of the chose to be physically present.
I was able to take some photos of my students using the boards and other materials. They were very excited that each got their own board to use during class activities.
Even though COVID-19 has impacted the physical presence of students attending the resources provided have helped my in school students enormously. To begin with we love playing games in order to make Chemistry fun. The dry-erase boards and markers allow for each student to have their own individual board without the risk of being near another student.
Since I am a first year teacher all the material received for the organization of my classroom, has made my classroom feel like home. I still have most of students through online learning but the few I have in my classroom have been able to enjoy each and every item from this project. Thank you for making this possible!”
With gratitude,
