  • Engaging Readers!

    Funded Jan 26, 2023

Thank you so much for your help in getting these books in the hands of my students! Once they saw all the books out, the kids beamed with excitement! They could not wait until independent time to start reading!

Dragon Masters has been the series my students have been waiting on the longest. They are now taking turns reading each of the books in the series. My students were also particularly excited with having more Piggie and Elephant books as well! Having these books easily accessible for my students to read at school has made my students even more eager to read! Thank you for continuing their engagement in reading! Your kindness will go a long way with the reading of my students!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Abu-Ghannam

  • Healthy Snacks to Keep Students Energized

    Funded Jan 11, 2022

You have made this school year wonderful for my students! When my students first saw all of the snacks in our classroom, they were thrilled and excited to try the healthier options. Throughout the year they enjoyed almost every single snack! Having a healthier option for snack everyday kept my students focused and engaged. Because of you, my students were not tired or hungry. They always had something available that they needed on days where they did not have their snack. I cannot thank you enough for all the support you have given us from your kind donations. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

  • Getting the Wiggles Out in Covid

    Funded Oct 22, 2020

Thank you so much for the flexible seating. My students have been enjoying them and they have been able to get in extra movement using these seats while learning from their desks.

When my students first saw the flexible seating choices, they were filled with excitement. They wanted to try them all. The exercise balls were the seats they were most excited about and it remains a class favorite to this day.

My students will continue to use the flexible seating throughout the year. These seats have been put to great use and will continue to do so for the years to come. I will always greatly appreciate all of the donations. Thank you so much for all of your support!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Abu-Ghannam

It is no secret that the Coronavirus has changed all of our lives. Our students were pulled out of the classroom since March and when they come back in August, school will not look the same. Before the Coronavirus, students were able to work all around the classroom to help them learn to their full potential, but unfortunately that will not be the case in August. Before the school closure, students had the opportunity to sit all over the room using scoop chairs, pillows, and clip boards. Student choice of where to sit helped them learn in higher capacities than they would if they were stuck at their desks doing work all day. When we go back to school in August, students will lose their choice of flexible seating around the room in order to make sure that they are six feet apart at all times. In order to meet students' needs, I want students to have the opportunity to use flexible seating at their desks. The flexible seating at student desks will help students get the movement they need to keep their brains fresh while still being safe according to health regulations.
