  • Helping Students Learn to Love Math

    Funded Nov 13, 2024

This project reaches countless students each and every year. The materials that were donated are used in our Title I school during math intervention as well as in class assignments that teachers are completing. Students really enjoy having new math manipulatives to engage with. Students get extremely excited anytime a new item is brought out and they are eager to use it and learn. We find so many different ways to use the materials to engage and promote math skills. Students love to learn and this bring in an extra reinforcer.”

  • Give Students the Opportunity to Fall in Love With Reading!

    Funded Dec 29, 2023

Reading is an important subject in any classroom. I strive to help students learn to fall in love with reading by having group texts to complete novel studies. Students love contributing to a whole class novel, reading together, discussing elements, and being involved with the stories themselves.

Our classroom reads every day whether that be as a class or independent, and it makes an incredible difference. Many students are enjoying the novels and even ask for more recommendations that are similar. These novels are making a difference and we are extremely grateful for the donations.”

  • Falling in Love With Math One Game at a Time

    Funded Apr 22, 2024

Math is always one subject that I try to bring in as many resources as I can to keep students engaged. These math games have made a major impact in classrooms and have helped students learn and understand different strategies. We use these games daily during centers and students look forward to them.

We are extremely grateful for your generosity in funding this project. Your donations have changed the way many students approach math and continue to love learning and practicing through these games. Thank you again for your donations and helping us fund this project.”

  • The Power of Reading Through Novel Studies

    Funded Mar 30, 2023

My students thrive on reading different types of novels throughout the year. While reading novels, we learn about character traits, story elements, predicting, inferencing, and so much more. Novels open a path for creativity and imagination for young readers.

Not only do we read the novels as a class but students work independently digging deeper into the texts during small group reading. We learn about vocabulary, figurative language, context clues, and work on fluency. Students are excited when we begin reading a new novel and love to predict the outcome.

These novels that have been graciously donated to our class make a tremendous impact on students in so many ways.”

  • Exploring Science System

    Funded Dec 28, 2021

The impact that this project has made on my students has been incredible. Our county does not provide teachers with any access to science materials which results in students not being able to learn through scientific inquiry. The resources that were donated through this project have ensured that all my students now and in the future will be able to learn through various forms such as reading, inquiring through models, completing hands-on science labs, and watching the world around them grow inside of our classroom.

Every year, my classroom consists of student who learn through multiple intelligence styles. This year, my students thrive on hearing information read aloud, looking at visuals, and holding models to view for themselves. My lessons have been enhanced far more than I could have ever imagined because of your support. My students are excited to learn more about the wonders of science because of the access to materials that we now have. Science is no longer looking at models on the screen but touching them, analyzing them, and sharing thoughts as class as we pass around our new and exciting materials.

Thanks to you and your generous support, differences are being made in my third grade classroom. My students are thriving, growing, and reflecting upon each and every new resource we now have at our fingertips.”

Science is a valued subject in my classroom and each year students conduct experiments and explore their questions with research. One obstacle has stood in the way for students to learn hands on and that is supplies. There are no forms of access to materials for our Science lessons and I purchase numerous items myself or use visuals for student learning. Although, I find ways to still engage students in the material with alternative options, my class is in need of supplies to extend our learning and inquiries. Students are in critical need of classroom science materials to extend their knowledge and critical thinking skills. Each item on my wishlist is catered to providing more in depth information, provoking questions, and engaging students in experiments year after year. For example, students learn about life cycles and having models to hold and examine will connect learned information to the realistic changes of a butterfly and frog. Students also learn about ecosystems, climate in different regions, weather, genetics, animal/plant cells, force/motion, fossils, types of rocks, and so much more. With every item on the list, students will have access to learn through various ways. Each unit within our state standards serves as an important stepping stone for young learners to explore the endless possibilities of the world around them. Student learning should not be limited due to inaccessible materials, so this is why as a teacher, I am trying to build a unique science exploring system.
