EFES STEM Explorers
Funded Sep 24, 2024I hope this letter finds you well. On behalf of the STEM Club and the students whose lives you've touched, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous contribution toward our resources. Your support has made a world of difference.
Thanks to your donation, we've been able to provide hands-on learning experiences that bring STEM concepts to life. From building simple machines to conducting exciting experiments, these activities have sparked curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning among our students. Watching their eyes light up as they solve problems or discover how things work is a reminder of the profound impact of your generosity.
Your investment in our club is not just about materials—it's about giving our students opportunities to dream, explore, and grow into the innovators and problem-solvers of tomorrow. You've made it possible for them to see that STEM isn't just something they study in a book; it's a world they can engage with and be a part of.
Thank you for believing in the power of education and in the potential of our students. Your kindness and commitment mean more to us than words can express. We are so fortunate to have supporters like you who share our vision for inspiring the next generation.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Hughes

Funded Mar 17, 2021Thank you for your generous donation. The books it provided for my kids has made a real difference. They were able to connect to the books and explore different cultures through them.
We love reading books and as mature readers we read through a book and without realizing it we are thinking about the characters and how they work together in the story or how they are working through a problem. We can retell key details of a book to a friend. We can do this because in school we were taught how to critically think about the authors purpose and look at the illustrations for more information. This is what I am doing with the books that I purchased with your donation. Some books have great character, setting and events, others we look at to teach us a life lesson.
When teaching these lessons the students think about the standard that the book covers, I ask questions throughout the book that focus in on the standard. This helps the students make connections between the standard and the books. By the end they are able to start asking those questions and making those connections on their own, which is the goal.
All the students enjoyed the new books. They love discovering new characters and discussing the new things they have learned through the books.”

Funded Aug 27, 2020The items we received because of your generous donations, have made learning fun and engaging for my students. These activities have created confident and independent 1st graders. They are able to work on writing tasks based on subjects they enjoy. They are working on Math skills that are targeted for their needs while having fun doing it. They have been able to explore sounds a letters in every day words to help them build their confidence during reading and writing.
And because of COVID and students needing their own books and binders, our Buddy Book bags have come in handy for them to be able to keep books safe at their desks for independent reading time. Our Rise and Shine binders have allowed early finishers to have tasks to complete and stay productive throughout the day.”
