So often ASB programs focus on students learning how to run meetings, collaborate in committees, and put on student body activities. However, I feel it is my responsibility to teach and mold my leaders with more than just those experiences! I would love to enhance & expand my leadership curriculum and I believe that “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens” will be a perfect fit for my goal. It boasts to be a “handbook to self-esteem and success... a simple approach to help teens improve self-image, build friendships, resist peer pressure, achieve their goals, and appreciate their parents, as well as tackle the new challenges of their time, like cyberbullying and social media”. I can’t wait to walk my students through this book and have them gain applicable skills to be successful in those areas of their life. Exploring these habits will no doubt set them on a path to reach their full potential.
