In 3-5th Grade Social Studies, I teach many lessons that include topics of race, diversity, inequities, and treating each other with love and compassion. Authors allow us to view perspectives from others and to learn to celebrate such perspectives. These books will strengthen my classroom library by allowing my students the chance to have an open dialogue about race, diversity, and a variety of cultures. Help me today in my vision for my students to have a classroom library that seeks to educate and give way to conversations between adults and children alike!
