Every year my students enter into my Kindergarten class eager and ready to learn and become SUPER READERS AND WRITERS!
Phonics and writing go hand in hand in Kindergarten. We start by studying our names and identifying them and then we learn about letter sounds. As we are learning letter sounds, we also learn how to build and stretch words to label pictures in our writing. Then we begin to write sentences so that we can share our ideas through fiction and nonfiction writing.
Having the hands-on, tangible, and visual materials such as magnetic write wipe boards, magnetic letters, and primary notebooks at home, will support my ENL students while they are learning remotely. Please take the time to help my students achieve their goals and become, SUPER WRITERS!
