My students have not had a typical year of learning since kindergarten. I chose tools that will allow the students to work hands-on. Items on my list will allow students to strive in second grade. I chose Scholastic News because it will help connect across curriculum. It reaches standards LS.2.1-5, RF.2.3-4, RI.2.1-10, SL.2.1-3, SL.2.6, W.2.1-2, and many more! Other items on my list will allow for the continued creation of a positive learning environment by providing positive posters and books that represent diversity. I want my students to strive, and I think providing them with all of the necessary tools is essentials.
