Each day I read a picture book to my fourth graders. By the end of the year the students have heard at least 180 stories that help them deal with self esteem, social emotional issues, and school and family issues. While we continue distance learning I feel it is super important to continue reading a book each day. Even though the students are fourth graders and love novels too, our picture book time is one of their favorite parts of each day. They love to see our list of books grow. They love to refer back to issues covered in our discussions and writing about literature. I hope the books I've asked for through DonorsChoose can be added to our line up!

About my class
