These yoga mats will be used for students who participate in weekly Social Skills and SEL sessions. We will be heading outside/gym while the weather is nice to practice Yoga, SEL lessons, mindfulness, mediation and expressing our feelings. Outdoor or indoor these mats will create a SPACE and a home base for my students. They will be learning about how to express and process feelings, and learn coping skills that are needed more than ever . My virtual students will be able to follow along from home. Soothing music is going to be playing throughout our weekly sessions. Music often helps my students feel calmer and is also used to add an energy to our space. My students experience positive emotions and experiences too. We will focus on recognizing and learning about all emotions on our mats.
