Nearpod for My Pod—Help Us All Heart Math!
Funded May 25, 2021Words cannot express how grateful I am for your generous donation to our classroom. When my students started using Nearpod, they immediately fell in love! With social distancing requirements due to Covid, it can be difficult for students to work together and collaborate. Nearpod allows them to show their classwork on screen, and work with one another on our math problems. In fact, the first thing they ask me when they walk in each day is "when do we get to work together on Nearpod?"
My students are so engaged in our lessons, and they are truly enjoying them. Their favorite part about Nearpod is an activity called "Time to Climb". It is an interactive quiz game that my students get so excited about! As soon as I say "ok, it's time for a Time to Climb", I hear a chorus of "yes!!" and "my favorite!!". We have now made it a daily activity because they love it so much.
Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to make these difficult times a little bit brighter for my students. Seeing them interact with one another, and work together like we did before Covid has been invaluable. Your donation is what made that possible. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so very much.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Licari

Ever since the Coronavirus shut down our school last year, my students have not had many opportunities to interact with one another and collaborate. Nearpod has changed all that! My students love how they can show their work on screen, and work together on our math problems. They actually beg me to share their work first, which always puts a smile on my face!
