  • It's a New Day

    Funded Aug 15, 2024

I want to start out by saying how truly thankful I am that you took time out of your day and donated to this project. The ways that it has helped my classroom has been great. We are able to keep our room fresh and clean with the Pine Sol and Clorox wipes. The cloths come in handy as well because sometimes the custodians don't have cloths to give us. The index cards help us when we are doing our math mixes and answering questions for exit tickets. Of course, like any teacher, pencils come in handy every day. I should have put erasers on the project because they don't last at all.

Again, thank you for donating to this project.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Holmes

  • Let's Make it Beautiful

    Funded Apr 2, 2024

I want to start by saying Thank You for funding my project. This project was used this particular school year for students to paint a canvas for the End of Year as a treat for 5th grade. We all sat together and painted a canvas that had a graduation cap, scroll and banner that said 2024. It was a great day and the students really enjoyed it.

Having the kids do an activity that they really enjoyed was great to watch. I am so happy that we had enough supplies to ensure all kids had brushes, paint and canvases (even though we did have to buy one more set).”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Holmes

  • Clean It Up

    Funded May 15, 2024

With Teacher Appreciation Week passing, my project was still funded and there are no words that can express my gratitude and appreciation. Having cleaning supplies in the classroom helps us to maintain cleanliness to fight germs and keep little rodents out of the classroom.

The generosity expressed will always mean a lot to me because there are so many projects on Donors Choose and for mine to be important to you feels good. I have had a lot of projects funded and those projects have helped my families tremendously and I am forever grateful.”

  • Let's Stem Together

    Funded Nov 27, 2023

This school year, we have a STEM teacher and a SPACE teacher so these activities were great for students who exceled in STEM and/or SPACE. They were so excited to have received these kits and they came just in time for the holidays as well so they had an extra gift. The sensory toys are great for the classroom treasure box that we have in the classroom. I love stress balls and I have a few on my desk and my students always try to use mine but now they have the opportunity to get a stress ball themselves when they earn a chance to go into the treasure box.

Again, thank you so much for taking your time and money to donate to this project.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Holmes

  • Keep It Going

    Funded Sep 22, 2023

I want to first say thank you for funding this project. Not only will it help my students but it helps me be able to provide essential items for them. This project is beneficial to the students and their families don't have to stress about taking care of their child's classroom needs. Since I am a 5th grade teacher, my students write a lot in Language Arts and a lot of my students enjoy journaling. The composition books help a lot with that. Every single item in this project will help my students succeed and that's what important.”

  • Let's Begin on the Right Foot

    Funded Aug 20, 2023

When I first did this project, it was hard for me to decide what kind of materials to get for my students. If I could get it all for them, I would but my pocket won't let me. I am so humbled that you took not only your money but your time to donate to my project. This has been a humbling experience as a teacher and a mother to understand what students need to succeed. I have been a teacher for 5 years and what everyone has done to help my students has been nothing short of a miracle. I want to say thank you to all my donors and let you know that your donation did not go in vain.”

  • We are Going to be Okay

    Funded Feb 23, 2023

I want to start by saying thank you for donating to my project. We are on the home stretch of the school year and I am still able to provide snacks and beverages for my students. They drink so much water at school so having extra bottles are so helpful. When they need a quick drink, it's nice that I can provide it and have a little drink for myself too to carry on through the day. Being able to give my students what they are lacking at home means a lot to both my students and myself. With everything going on, it's nice to have treats for my students.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Holmes

  • Back to Basics

    Funded Dec 8, 2022

I want to start by saying thank you for donating to my project for my classroom. It meant so much that you all took time and money to help people that you don't know.

In my classroom, there are a lot of families who do not have finances to help out with things that are needed in the classroom. Having cleaning supplies in our room is very important since we are still living with COVID and it is still cold and flu season. The students are so used to cleaning up their desks and surrounding that it feels weird if they don't have the supplies.

Again, thank you for donating to the project.”

  • Let's Figure it All Out

    Funded Jul 3, 2022

I want to start out first by saying thank you for helping my students by donating/funding this project. I am very grateful to you all. My students are thankful as well. Seeing the looks on their faces when I showed them the goodies in the boxes, they were overjoyed. This project is a huge help for all of us and has come in handy in the classroom.

With this project, my students can become better students and show growth when taking assessments. I don't know how I would make it all school year if it wasn't for people like you all who help educators like me.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Holmes

These materials will help the parents as well as students so that those who may not be able to obtain these items can and their child can excel and have what is needed to enhance their learning. I chose these materials because they are needed for daily use and since students will be remote learning to start, these items will make a difference. As a second year teacher, I saw how much was needed by me because there were several students who did not have the materials that were needed. I want to make sure that they have what they need so they won't feel left out or feel like they can't do the work because of lack of materials.
