  • Building Classroom Community One Brick at a Time!

    Funded Mar 26, 2025
  • A Little Bit Goes a Long Way!

    Funded Jan 24, 2023

Thank you so very much for believing in my students and supporting the arts in public schools! These supplies will help me give my students more opportunities to explore different mediums and to express themselves in even deeper ways. I’m so excited at the possibilities that your donations will make possible.”

    With gratitude,

  • Taking Art From the Classroom to a Possible Career!

    Funded Jan 26, 2022

I must admit, it has been extremely exciting to introduce screen printing to my students this year thanks to your donations! Once I refreshed myself, I was ready to teach my Art 2 students screen printing instead of our usual printing techniques.

When I first unpacked the boxes and set everything up, my students were a bit overwhelmed. However, after watching a video on YouTube to see what this was all about, they were excited to learn this new technique.

This year we just did prints on paper, but next year I would like to attempt to do prints on t-shirts or something. I do feel that the class understood the impact of screen printing and how it can lead to a possible career, so I call this a win! I truly appreciate the opportunity that the donations have given me and my students!”

  • Add Some Color to Our Post COVID World!

    Funded Nov 1, 2021

Thank you so much for the supplies! My NAHS and Art Club students truly enjoyed painting the river rocks for the elementary students at a nearby school. That meeting was truly one of the most energetic and engaging that we've had this year.

In addition, when my Art 1 students saw all of the new sharpies, they were incredibly excited considering that the ones we had been using were quickly drying out and no longer meeting their needs.

The project that they just completed required them to use those sharpies with a second medium to reproduce a famous painting. Most of them did very well and were extremely proud of their work. Thank you again for your generous donations!”

  • WANTED: Distance Learning Kits

    Funded Dec 2, 2020

Although we have been back in school for almost a year now, your donations went a long way and are continuing to be shared. First, once I received the materials, I was able to make Art kits for all of my students and organize a day when students and/or their families could come by the school in a sort of "drive-through" style and pick up their Art kits. This was a great way to get supplies to my students who would not have supplies otherwise and also have a second to say hi face to face. It was very successful and I even had students walk through or ride through on their bikes to get their supplies!

Second, now that we've returned, throughout the year I've had extra supplies to give to students to keep at home when they needed to take something home to finish. This has been a huge help and I will never be able to thank you enough!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Adams

As an art teacher, planning for my students to be successful while creating art at home is a challenge. This past year the majority of my students didn't have and couldn't acquire even the most basic materials to create their art from home. Some students were forced to be very creative and used anything from the inside of food boxes to napkins to draw on. At the same time, other students didn't even have access to a drawing utensil of any kind. These are my students, and I have to find a way to meet them where they are so that they all have the opportunity to express themselves equally. My project is to create "take-home" bags of basic art materials so that I can create equity among my students and give all of them the opportunity to be successful when working from home. The materials I'm requesting are basic art materials: sketchpads, pencils, hand pencil sharpeners, and colored pencils. I will use these materials to create zip lock bags of supplies for each student to take and keep at home for the times during the school year when they need to create their artwork outside of the classroom. These are essential materials to create equity among my students and help them to be their very best under today's unprecedented circumstances. Thank you for donating to my project and helping my students in these challenging times.
