Funded Aug 13, 2020We are all so thankful to each and everyone of your generous donations. The libraries in our classroom look so inviting and diverse. The children enjoy seeing a variety of books and it mirrors their own personas. This has really opened up so many doors for our students and they have demonstrated a love for reading noticing similarities and even learning more about themselves and others.
We are big on social emotional activities and children this age are learning how to label their emotions. Social emotional skills help children build healthy relationships and properly express their emotions. These skills help children show empathy to others and express themselves in a healthy and controlled way. They are learning about we are all unique and we all bring something different into the classroom. They are realizing there is more than one language. We are reading how family dynamics are different.
I am so happy we are celebrating diversity and learning about my students and their cultures and making sure that they feel represented in the classroom”
With gratitude,
Ms. Vazquez
