Laughter and Lots of Learning
Funded Dec 4, 2023I can not thank you enough for your generosity in donating to our project. Our little learners avid curiosity to explore and discover the world around them is endless. This keeps us on our toes designing and acquiring exciting new materials to keep them engaged and moving forward in developing their love of learning. Keeping our student's continuously engaged helps us focus on building key functional communication and social emotional skills. Our new materials have sparked interest in being around others, sharing, asking for turns. Your generouristy allowed us to provide an influx of new play materials into six preschool special education classrooms in our school. Honestly, it is hard to say whose smiles were bigger when the new materials were delivered, the students or the teachers!!! Providing the highest quality materials that are developmentally appropriate to meet the needs of our special population of tomorrow's superstars is a continuing challenging, and we thank you sincerely for allowing us to meet our students' instructional needs in such a joyful manner!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Jen
This classroom project was brought to life by The Allstate Foundation and 2 other donors.SUMMER FUN via ZOOM REMOTE SUN
Funded Jun 9, 2020I can not thank you enough for your generous support to provide our special education students with materials to play and learn during remote summer learning. The change in engagement and participation from students from our spring crisis programming to remote summer learning was astounding. Students were able to interact and engage with their teachers and peers even through the screen of an IPAD. The joy and happiness evident in the pictures and videos shared with us by parents of students building with blocks and molding, crafting, and creating with play dough could not have been achieved without your kindness. Students were thrilled to come to school to pick up their Summer Learning Kits. The parents were just as, if not more, pleased to have materials to support social interaction and language development play at home. Crayons and markers allowed for students to continue to develop their fine motor skills and create drawings, writings, and crafts. Even though we were still apart, the materials we were able to distribute through your support of this project, truly helped us bridge a gap in our students' access to high quality instruction and materials during summer remote learning!!!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Jen
