Students started remote learning by reading using programs on the computer, but since most of the assignments were on the computer; they prefer to read the books they took home. I am trying to encourage students to keep reading Spanish, so they don't lose the language during the time they are home. I am hoping that they feel encouraged to keep reading if they have a variety of books to choose from for reading. I am planning to allow them to get books from the classroom library, but in order to do that, I need to have a variety of books. I am only been teaching for 5 years and I have been trying to build a classroom library. I go to Thrift Stores to look for affordable books in Spanish, but it is difficult to find second-grade level books.
