Students will use large pencils daily to improve motor skills. Students will practice writing using newspaper print to help them with hand-eye coordination as they write. Students will participate in literacy and math centers every day. I believe that inquiry-based learning is essential in students learning and retaining new information. Learning about number partners through the use of number bonds is taught throughout Kindergarten in various ways. The use of number bond whiteboards will foster experiential learning. These items will enable my students to practice the skills and concepts that need to be successful in Kindergarten.
