Students who are provided high-interest, engaging novels are more likely to read. These books will refresh my classroom library to provide high-interest books for my often reluctant readers. These selections include a variety of books about different races, cultures, and individuals. Students will use these books for independent reading, so students will have more options in the classroom. I will do weekly books talks as well as read the first chapters of these books to students to help create interest. Students will also use Flipgrid as a format to rate, suggest, and engage in book talks as well.
