  • Balance Makes Perfect

    Thank you so much for the funding of this project. The students loved all the equipment that they received. They were surprised and inspired as to the generosity of all those that gave. We talked about how it feels to receive such wonderful things but more importantly how it must feel to give. I hope that they are in a position down the line that they are able to do the same as you

    In doing so, they are now able to work on their balanced and even created a game out of it.

    They are going to be using this in the future in after school program with other teachers that will bring them the confidence need to stay on their own 2 feet.

  • Out Door Fitness and Fun

    Thank you so much for the donations to help our students.

    They are already loving the music outside, they are sending my music request for the playlist while they are outside. The giant dice while playing games has been a huge success, no longer are we trying to see the small dice to call out players numbers. It brings excitement to their faces. They are really looking forward to the giant outdoor jenga style blocks when we are allowed to touch and share things again.

  • Get FIT Together

    Funded Nov 11, 2020

    I just wanted to thank you for your help in funding our project. During the past few months, since we started this idea of getting fit, we are unable to use the materials. With covid restrictions, our school building being shut down more than it has been open and the limits that the school has put on us, it has been a struggle to do anything.

    My students were very excited to hear and see what we got. Although unable to use them, they are happy to see them here and the possibility to use them in the future.

    We will be posting next year once we are allowed to have afterschool and use shared equipment.

As local government and mega companies such as Amazon are exploring the use drones for public safety and package delivery, we need to be preparing our students for careers that involve such technologies. As we are a hands on expeditionary school, I want to be able to provide such an opportunity for my students. “It’s easy to attract students and hook them with the coolness of flying drones, the burden is on us to show them the career connection — that a drone is a tool and that many industries use it” - Duane Roberson. Teaching the students how to use block coding to navigate drones through predetermined flight paths or having them free fly in unpredictable situations will be giving them valuable real world experiences that will make them leaders in an exciting new career field of unmanned aerial vehicles. Emerging job sectors include the military, public safety, agriculture, construction, entertainment, oil and gas companies. Help provide the future of coding, now.
