  • Snacks to Increase Learning

    Funded Jan 3, 2025

Providing snacks for kindergarten scholars plays a crucial role in their academic success by supporting focus, cognitive function, and behavior. When scholars have access to nutritious snacks, they can concentrate better, regulate their emotions, and sustain their energy levels throughout the day. Hunger can lead to frustration and difficulty following directions, but a well-timed snack helps scholars stay engaged in learning. Additionally, foods rich in essential nutrients enhance memory, problem-solving skills, and overall cognitive development, leading to improved academic performance.

Beyond academic benefits, snack time fosters a positive classroom culture and encourages healthy eating habits. It provides a structured break that allows scholars to reset, socialize, and practice patience while learning the importance of balanced nutrition. Establishing these habits early helps build a foundation for lifelong well-being. Additionally, having the energy to fully participate in songs, movement, and learning activities ensures that scholars remain active and engaged throughout the school day.”

  • Bookshelf of Knowledge

    Funded Aug 20, 2024

Having a shelf for scholar work in our kindergarten classroom has been a wonderful addition, fostering pride and excitement for learning. Scholars love showcasing their creations, and it's become a special space where they can share and reflect on their achievements. When we first introduced the shelf, they were thrilled, calling it "our art gallery" and eagerly planning what to display. Recently, we used it to highlight their "All About Me" collages, and they couldn't wait to show their families. Next up, it's going to help us with a science project on plant lifecycles, where scholars document their plants' growth through drawings and observations, creating a vibrant display of their learning journey.”

    With gratitude,

Your generous contributions to our cleaning products project have made a significant impact on our students' learning environment. The new resources are actively used for various purposes, from maintaining a clean and safe space to incorporating hands-on activities.

One memorable classroom moment involved a science experiment where students used the cleaning products to explore concepts of hygiene and microbial growth. Witnessing the materials in action, students were engaged and eager to participate in the experiment.”

  • Renew and Repair

    Funded Jul 20, 2023

This project helped us revamp the classroom for the students in a magical way. Students were able to come into a space that lights up every day due to the replacement of the LED lights. Students are able to fully hear and enjoy the wiggle breaks due to the amazing speaker that we received due to you all's generosity. The seat sacks that we received creates a space for students that is organized and clean. This gives students an opportunity to thrive and be in an engaging environment. The students love this and its due to you.”

  • Tools for Successful Learning

    Funded Feb 20, 2023

Students contributed their ideas, and I created visual aids to reinforce concepts, making the learning process more interactive and engaging on the anchor charts. The rest of the materials were used by each scholar individually to enhance their creativity through colors, cutting and pasting which is something that they seemed to enjoy a lot. Using these tools that you have contributed to helped students express themselves in ways that no one would see imaginable. Your support in this project is greatly appreciated.”

  • Headphones Galore

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

The use of headphones has made learning more enjoyable and interactive for students. They are able to access gamified learning platforms, interactive quizzes, and educational videos, leading to increased engagement and enthusiasm for learning.

Headphones are valuable tools for students with special learning needs or sensory sensitivities. They have provided an inclusive learning environment by accommodating individual preferences and creating a more comfortable setting for all students.

Listening is a critical aspect of learning, and using headphones has enhanced students' auditory skills. By listening to audio-based educational content, students have developed better comprehension and retention abilities.”

  • Germs, Germs, Go Away

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

The cleaning supplies have come in at a great time when sickness is at a high. Clean and sanitized classrooms and facilities promote better health and hygiene among students. Regular cleaning of surfaces, desks, and shared items helps reduce the spread of germs, bacteria, and viruses, leading to fewer illnesses and absences among students. To make sure students understand this we assign cleaning as a leadership job in the classroom. This makes kids super excited. The cleaning supplies have also cut down sickness in our classroom.”

Help me help my students experience and learn more about other cultures outside of their own. We will be able to use these books in our virtual morning meetings day by day. Reading these books to my students will set them up to interact with others that may not look like them, in a positive way but gain a sense of understanding of who they are and possibly where they are from. They will also gain clarity that we are all the same but we look different and should be treated and loved in a great manner.
