These materials will provide books for my classroom library that are of high interest to 2nd-4th grade students, but at the lower readability level my students need. My older struggling readers do not like to be seen reading "baby" books on their reading level, so having a larger selection of interesting lower readability level books will help encourage their independent reading practice and support their growth as readers. Having interesting age-appropriate books to select during independent reading time will encourage my students to read more which will help increase their reading abilities!
