I almost feel embarrassed giving my students some of the books I do to read. The pages are yellow and falling out of the books. The covers are tattered. This is not because students a have not taken care of them, but rather they have loved them to death. These new sets of books would be shared with three fourth grade classrooms. Both books have a common theme of caring for family and friends. Students would learn about genres, points of view, character analysis, parts of a story, text structures and use critical thinking skills to answer and think about higher level questions.
