  • Desk Chairs!

    Funded Jan 29, 2025

Using these nice desk chairs as incentives in the classroom has boost motivation, reinforce positive behavior, and enhance focus. This system encourages goal-setting, perseverance, and responsibility while fostering a positive classroom culture where students strive to meet expectations. Additionally, the visible incentive influences peer behavior, creating a ripple effect that improves overall engagement and participation. By adding excitement to the learning environment, this simple yet effective reward makes the classroom a more dynamic and enjoyable space.

  • Everyday Writing Supplies

    Funded Jun 26, 2024

I am writing to share the positive impact that new whiteboards and writing supplies would have in my special education classroom. These essential tools play a crucial role in our daily learning activities, helping to create an engaging and interactive environment for my students.

Having new whiteboards allows for clearer, more effective instruction, making it easier for my students to follow along and participate in lessons. With fresh writing supplies, my students can work on their handwriting, spelling, and math skills with renewed enthusiasm. The right materials not only support academic growth but also encourage my students to express themselves confidently and independently.

  • N I C E Art Supplies!

    Funded Jul 31, 2024

I am writing to highlight the significant impact that quality art supplies can have on the learning experience in my special education classroom. For my students, art is not just a creative outlet; it is a vital means of expression, communication, and emotional regulation. Having access to high-quality art supplies allows them to fully engage in these activities, fostering both their cognitive and social-emotional development.

  • Personalized Hygiene Kits!

    Funded Jun 2, 2024

I am writing to share the positive impact that providing deodorant and toothbrush kits to our upper elementary students has had on our school community. These basic hygiene items, often taken for granted, play a crucial role in fostering a healthy, confident, and focused learning environment.

The distribution of these kits has also sparked important conversations about personal care, helping to establish lifelong healthy habits. Our students are learning the value of self-care, which contributes to their overall well-being and academic success.

Thank you for supporting this initiative. The impact on our students has been significant, and we are grateful for the continued support that allows us to meet the needs of our students in such meaningful ways.”

  • Tasty Fractions!

    Funded May 6, 2024

A waffle party can be an engaging and effective way to teach fractions to a special education class. It allowed for hands-on learning, visual and tactile representation.

The waffles are naturally divided into sections (like quarters), making them perfect visual aids for fractions.By cutting waffles into halves, quarters, or eighths, students can see and touch the parts of the whole, making abstract concepts more concrete. Students can practice dividing waffles among themselves, reinforcing the concept that fractions represent parts of a whole.

Prior to enjoying and devouring the waffles, my students helped me make the waffle batter. Making waffles involves following a recipe, which often includes fractions (e.g., 1/2 cup of milk). This shows students how fractions are used in everyday life.

Thank you for supporting a special education class in public schools!”

  • New Speakers!

    Funded Dec 22, 2023

Thank you for investing in public education, specifically a special education classroom!

A high-quality speaker system ensures that audio content, including teacher instructions, presentations, and multimedia materials, is clearly audible to all students in the classroom. This improves communication and reduces the likelihood of students missing important information due to poor sound quality or background noise.

A speaker system enables allowed me to incorporate multimedia content, such as educational videos, audio recordings, and online presentations, into their lessons with ease. The clear audio provided by the speaker system enhances the effectiveness of multimedia materials and supports multimedia-based instructional strategies.

Movies nights are VERY enjoyable now. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Leo

I am requesting these items for my classroom because I want my students to feel like their classroom is their second home, "a home away from home." When students are given the proper resources, they feel more confident in their work. Given that the school holds a Title I status and I will be serving a Special Education class, these donations will be rightfully used and appreciated by my students. Again, thank you for your time and consideration. It will be my first year teaching, so I am starting from scratch. All other supplies will allow me to create a healthy and vibrant learning environment for my students.
