As a teacher in the pandemic, I am trying to pull out all the stops to keep students motivated and engaged. Students at our school are juggling so much right now - they are often sharing devices with their siblings, balancing a full course load with childcare responsibilities, and struggling with time management as deadlines pile up. As distance learning continues, we as educators need to rethink how we are delivering content and what opportunities we provide for students to connect with us and one another. My students miss learning together with their peers and teachers and I miss spending time with them. My goal is to create video content that will make students feel like they are participating in a live class! Through the iPad, I can create interactive video lessons that integrate links, images, polls, quizzes, and PDFs into the video itself. I can provide a video lecture, check for student understanding, and offer students supplemental materials (handouts, links, etc.) all in one place. In order to access this technology, I need an iPad.
