  • One Organized Classroom

    Funded Sep 30, 2023

Thanks to your amazing generosity, our class is flourishing! Having specific items for organization has helped my 5th grade scholars in more ways than one.

Our classroom library is a major hot spot for kids to come together and not just read, but to work in small groups. Having shelves that allow for more books to be accessible for reading enjoyment has the kids enjoying reading and taking responsibility for cleaning and organizing the classroom.

We thank you for your generous donations to this project and we hope you enjoy some of the pictures of us working and enjoying an organized classroom.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Davila

  • Pick a Paper, Any Paper

    Funded Sep 9, 2023

First, I want to say thank you on behalf of my bilingual scholars and myself for the generous donations made to this project. Having paper in the classroom is an essential for any teacher to make sure lessons and resources are copied and ready at a moments use but also for the students to learn.

Since the donations have arrived, the paper has been put to use. The first project the students created were Hispanic Heritage posters that highlighted a famous Hispanic and their contributions to society. Students chose various colors to represent different colored Hispanic flags to display on our bulletin boards. From there, our differentiated monthly packets have been replenished and fully copied for students to have their learning match their specific needs. We are even lucky to have some paper to help show work for their math tests.

We can not thank you enough for the donations to this project. We appreciate your generosity so much.”

  • Supplied to Learn

    Funded Apr 6, 2023

Since this project was funded, student choice has improved tremendously. With the use of the mailboxes, I have been able to provide a space in the classroom that is organized and allows them to easily retrieve the paper and supplies that are needed. I keep one near my horseshoe table that serves as a writing station so they can grab their writing supplies and paper as needed. The other paper serves as a construction paper area for when it comes time to finish publishing writing pieces. They can design their covers using the construction paper of their choice. This also has been excellent for indoor recess so the students have more choices when they are inside for their recess period. We are very fortunate to have these great resources in the classroom for multiple uses. We are grateful for your generous donations to help make our classroom come alive.”

With this project, the ability to display new anchor charts and another space to work will allow my students to be resourceful and engaged with their work across multiple content areas.”

    With gratitude,

  • Comfy, Cozy Learning

    Funded Dec 6, 2022

My project, Comfy Cozy Learning, has been such an incredible aspect and tool in my classroom. On the day the items arrived, we were in middle of independent writing and were also having a visit from central administrators. When the carpet and easel arrived in the classroom, the students immediately knew what arrived and were very excited to open it and try it. Once the carpet was laid out, the students immediately gravitated to the carpet and began working on their journals and independent flex activities. The smiles on their faces were contagious and I could tell immediately that this was going to be a huge asset to the classroom.

Aside from using the carpet as a work area, it has been an area for our read alouds. We gather on the carpet and have enjoyed many fun read alouds, whether I am reading the book or if they are listening to a BookFlix or a Storyline Online on the board. The students have also used the carpet for indoor recess days and our schools global day of play recently. With the easel, it has made a great place for students to share their ideas, teach others, and display manipulatives for our math lessons. It has been multifaceted and it remains a vital tool for us to use in our teaching and learning.

As we enter the final months of the school year, we continue to use the carpet for our whole group and small group lessons. With our flexible groupings, small groups of students can work on the carpet and will use the area where the easel is to work on their assignments and collaborate with each other. Having these two pieces of furniture is helping the students feel comfortable and teaching them that we can learn in different ways but also knowing where we learn helps us grow as well. I thank you for all of the generous donations to make this project happen.”

    With gratitude,

    Mr. Davila
