Teaching time matters and the best way to use every minute is to be prepared. However, that is hard to do when the whiteboards in my new room are in bad shape. The room I am moving to has old, non-magnetic, barely cleanable whiteboards. With these new whiteboards, I will not have to rely on harsh chemicals to simply erase the board. Not only is that not healthy, but it is also frustrating to the students and me when we can't use our tools the way we should. This will save time and allow me to make my lessons more engaging as I can post materials and announcements for students frequently and use the space as an organizational tool in the room. As a teacher, I come to class every day prepared to teach my students, and I should not have to worry whether or not the whiteboard will disrupt my lesson and their learning. My students deserve having working materials in the room, please help us get them.
