  • ART to HEAL TRAUMA and SOCIAL EMOTIONAL STRESS.

    Funded Apr 21, 2022

Thank you so much for the art materials donation. They have been a huge success. I have been giving these materials to students that are having social-emotional stresses and breakdowns. I gave a sketch book to a student with autism who was having a difficult day and it completely changed his demeanor. Another book was given to a student with suicide ideation. This also was well received. She was so happy and that just meant the world to help her in her struggles. These materials have been a huge help in with these students during crisis. Again, thank you so much.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rea

  • Can Anybody Hear Me? What’s My Teacher Saying?

    Funded Sep 18, 2020

Thank you for donating to this project. The headphones were very valuable in helping the students to focus on the lesson without interruptions. Additionally, they used the headphones to work independently on reading and math online programs.

The students were very excited to receive the headphones and we're more eager to do their work. Also, more assignments were completed and submitted thanks to using the headphones. During online learning, these headphones helped the students advance academically.

Thank you for making a difference in these students education.”

    With gratitude,

  • Whiteboards and Markers for Little Rascals

    Funded May 17, 2020

Thank you for donating to this project. The whiteboards and markers were very valuable in observing student understanding of the curriculum. Additionally, I was able to instantly know if I needed to reteach something or who needed extra help.

The students were very excited to receive the materials and use them to show their work. They were able to express their thinking and be more present in the lesson. Also, they were able to explain their thinking using the board.

Thank you for making a difference in these students education.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Rea

I work in a low income area with a lot of at-risk students. Many of the students have already had very traumatic experiences in their lives and there are many dangers around them. Additionally, many of the parents work more than one job and it's not unusual that the kids have to take care of themselves or their siblings. These students have many struggles they have to deal with in a daily basis.
