Help Our SPEDtastic High School Class!
Funded May 15, 2020Wow. I am humbled by your contribution to our classroom. Thank you so much from the bottom of all of our hearts at Roosevelt High School Class 57! I've already made many drops to families, many were so appreciative to have access to sensory items, food incentives (a key component for shaping noncompliant behaviors!), art supplies, and literacy games. Having to leave our brick and motor school JUST as many of my students were showing lots of progress on their IEP goals, has been detrimental to their growth academically, behaviorally, and socially. Our big aim for the remainder of the year is engagement and connectivity. Having rare opportunities to see my students during these drop-offs has been emotional. Trying to explain to my students why I can't hug them has been awful, but I am glad I could at least go see them and bring gifts and supplies.
During this time, getting photos of the students using their new supplies is rough sp please excuse me not having any current photos, but I did want you to see the smiling faces of who is benefiting from your generosity.
Thank you so much on behalf of my students and Roosevelt. Stay safe and healthy during these crazy times.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Brie
