Colorful Classroom Creations
Funded Feb 26, 2024Thanks to your generosity, there are 23 new young authors! We used the printer/copier and art supplies to write our book, All About Me.
It was so wonderful taking them through the writing process and publishing a book. With the help of my colleague, Mrs. Marom, we worked with each student for several weeks. The copier helped us share templates, writing paper, and support editing. After helping my second graders write about themselves, they illustrated beautifully with the multicultural crayons. The parents, students, and I are thankful.”

Restore Hope to Kindergarteners!
Funded Jun 12, 2020I was elated that you supported my Restore Hope to Kindergarteners Project when Covid-19 disrupted our lives. NYC students only had their bookbags and lunch boxes when remote learning was announced. They left behind their supplies, our beautiful classroom, and our resources. Parents were confused and burdened with the expense. Teachers like myself took a crash course in online platforms, and had to teach the families about this new way of learning. But you made the difference in our lives!
Each child received a bag full of supplies that they immediately put to use, and are still using! They read, write, explore STEM, practice skills and create art. They've even designed posters celebrating their cultures and encouraging their loved ones to vote!
It's so comforting in these tough times to know that we are not alone. The parents, students and I truly appreciate your support. Thanks to Donors Choose and you, we have hope and they have what they need to succeed!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Mason
