Readers are Learners!
Funded Feb 21, 2023I continue to be blown away by the generosity of everyone who is willing to help teachers and students in need. I told my students our project got funded and cheers of joy erupted in our room! They are excited to welcome these new books into our classroom library and are eagerly waiting to be the first to read a book. Thank you for always supporting us.”

KleenSlate Whiteboards to Share our Learning and Ideas!
Funded May 4, 2022My students and I want to thank you for donating and getting our class a set of KleenSlate whiteboards. The students' faces lit up instantly and they were even more grateful when they heard that these materials were donated from complete strangers.
We quickly put these boards to good use. Due to COVID, students missed a huge part of hands-on, in-classroom learning, and these learning gaps are evident still 2 years later. We use the boards in daily phonics to become stronger readers and these boards give every student a chance to participate and share their learning, especially those students who are more timid speaking up in front of others. It also allows me to quickly scan at everyone's work and gather instant data on which students have grasped a concept and which students need a little extra support.
One simple class material can do so much. And we appreciate all of this and all of you.”

Funded May 15, 2020I will forever be grateful that so many people stepped up this summer to help bring literature and stories to my students' lives. Our world was turned upside down due to Covid and as a teacher I worried about my students who struggled to have school supplies at home. Luckily, basic materials like pencils and notebooks were supplied but a giant part of learning was missing, and that was quality books.
Because of your generosity, each of my third graders was able to go home with at least five of their very own books to keep. I didn't get to see many of my students in person when we arranged the book pick up, but parents messaged me to express their children's happiness when they saw their new reading materials.
I know there is a passionate reader inside every single student and I know that them receiving these books helped bring that reader out in them.”
