Creating a comfortable and functional learning environment is the first step to a successful classroom. As society grows and changes, the needs of our students change as well. To provide a functional setting for today’s learners, students need a space that suits their learning needs. Flexible seating allows students to comfortably attempt the rigorous expectations of today’s standards and curriculum. Donating to this project will provide my students with seating options that will help increase focus and learning in our collaborative classroom. The products I have selected will allow students to actively engage in various lessons and activities. Students may choose to sit on the large rug while listening, reading, or analyzing literature. Others may choose a wobble stool or stability ball to fidget and move without disrupting classmates. Adding these additional seating options will provide the differentiation needed to accommodate the needs of all learners.
